Welcome to the UTPA SACS web site. This web site has 3 sections: General
Overview, Certification of Compliance and Quality Enhancement Plan.
An overview of each of these sections is provided below.
General Information:
Certification of Compliance:

- This
report first provides a listing of all the ‘Principles of
Accreditation’ from
which the user can select a specific compliance report
for review.
Each compliance report has 5 sections:
- Displays
the number and text.
- Displays
the Compliance status of each report.
- States
the compliance criteria for UTPA.
- Contains the
text of compliance. A double click on text displayed
in color will open supporting pages captured,
and take you directly to the support information.
- References
are presented alphabetically with links to documents/web
sites referenced in the narrative. In the references
section, two links have been provided (‘link to UTPA SACS library’ and ‘link
to original source’). The link to UTPA SACS library is
where all the documents referred to in the narrative
have been archived so that if original sites change,
the reference document could still be accessed. The ‘link
to original source’ as
the name suggests, links to the original source
of the reference used in the narrative.
On the right top corner of each narrative a link to ‘printer
friendly version’ of the narrative is provided so
that the user can print a copy of the PDF.
For ease of navigation between ‘Principles of Accreditation’,
a yellow shaded bar is available at the top of
each page so that the user can select a ‘principle
of accreditation’ without
going to the home page.

form includes the history and characteristics
of UTPA, list of degrees offered at UTPA, locations and
distance education, accreditation information and relationship
to the U.S. Department of Education.
- Names of team
members for the ‘Leadership
Team’, ‘Compliance Certification Team (CCT)’,
and other sub-teams involved in the compliance certification process.
- Project Timelines for ‘Compliance Certification’ and ‘Quality
Enhancement Plan.’
- Minutes from the Leadership
and CCT meetings that have been held since January 2005.
Quality Enhancement Plan:

- List of members of the QEP Team and
Sub-Teams.
- Announcement made to all faculty on campus for
QEP proposal submission with a deadline of March 2006.
- Letter from the Provost
to all full-time faculty at The University of Texas-Pan American requesting
proposals for intervention plans. Instructions on Application Content
and Proposal Format.
- Interim Report dated December 7, 2005.
- : A powerpoint presentation giving
an update of the QEP Committee’s work as of May
16, 2006.
- Minutes from all QEP meetings that have
been held since October 2004.
