of Accreditation. We are glad that you are visiting our site and trust that
you will have an educational and beneficial experience while reviewing our
materials. The University is committed to providing students with a quality
educational experience that enables them to graduate in a timely fashion, to
become an outstanding research institution, to enhance our engagement with
the community, to collaborate with P-12 schools to graduate more college-ready
students, to infuse Inter-American and global perspectives throughout the University
community, and to optimize institutional effectiveness and efficiency.
We strive to continuously improve our programs, our operations, our faculty and our staff and embrace the reaffirmation process as one of the means to accomplish this goal. The Compliance Certification Team and this self-evaluation process have identified areas and processes in which improvements are already being implemented. Our Quality Enhancement Team (QEP) has identified our topic as “GEAR UP to Graduate: A Model for Success in Gatekeeper Mathematics Courses for First Generation University Mexican American Students.” We believe that once implemented this will become a model that other institutions will find beneficial for their campuses.
